20th Century Fox just released a super secret trailer for Spies in Disguise, but don’t worry, it’s available for the general audience. It’s just a fancy way to label their fourth trailer for the movie. Yes, this is the fourth trailer for the movie, so it is clear that the movie studio is going all out on the marketing. Given the amount of animated sequels we have gotten this year, it’s nice to see a film that’s a bit different enter the fray.
Will Smith as a debonair spy in an animated movie makes a lot of sense; it also makes sense that Tom Holland would be the one to turn him into a pigeon. The stakes in the world of espionage have never been higher as the two are now forced to team up to take down the bad guy. Other cast members include Karen Gillan, Ben Mendelsohn (probably the villain), Rashida Jones, Rachel Brosnahan, Reba McEntire, Masi Oka, and DJ Khaled.
Directors Troy Quane and Nick Bruno are making their feature film debut with Spies in Disguise, with Lucas Martell’s animated short film Pigeon Impossible serving as inspiration for the movie. Spies in Disguise will be released in theatres December 25th, 2019.
