What if Inside Out was real? Envision those little people inside your head, each symbolizing a different emotion, contemplating on whether you should be happy or sad, the little winsome handymen carrying out construction work on your memories, whether they can and should be maintained or knocked down. Casted into the pit of the forever forgotten world, where none can dwell and no emotion can ever be recovered.

Joy fighting with sadness and fear involving anger yet, disgust feeling the disapproval of all emotions that cannot co-operate effectively with each other; given that disgust cannot solve any problems will cause her to walk off, leaving your brain frying like an egg as if you’re addicted to nicotine. And as you grow up, it’s common that your thought structure enhances and develops, and that imaginary friend you had when you were 3 years old, somewhere deep in your brain, may spring up from time to time then forever fade away because when you reach a certain age, you’re more than likely to forget that you even had one.

The personality islands that make up your personality based on when a core memory is established such as: Friendship Island, representing when you first established that you had a best friend. Hockey Island, but consider yours to be any sport such as football, basketball, tennis etc. Moreover, Family Island which represents the good and bad times you spent with your family. All being built in your head by those little builders, and at any given point can fall when your state of mind becomes chaotic. However, the train of thought taking you on a very long journey through your 50,000 to 70,000 daily chain of thoughts that you are unaware of lie in your subconscious mind, which by hitting the forefront can bring half-hearted memories back to life.

Now, let’s get to the dream stage where those little people will create and play dreams in your head just like a movie is being projected onto a big screen. How cool is that? Every dream that you have, is either recorded and played back, or created from scratch and at any given time, that little up to no good person lying in your subconscious can enter your dream and make it a nightmare causing you to wake up. Only because there are others from the main part of your brain trying to gain back ultimate control and keep you sane, they have to fight their enemies. These little enemies; being the ones that put you in a state of perpetual unhappiness and depression. And it’s not necessarily that they know that you’re depressed but more like they’re carrying out their daily jobs to keep you running still, little do they know that there are other departments who need to carry out their jobs to sustain your well-being however, to indulge in conflict due to one emotion may be more overwhelming than the other emotion causing harm to your brain.

I could go on and on but let’s stop right there, and think about the endless possibilities that could be going on in our heads. And try to evoke and take control of the joyful emotions that make us feel happy and positive each day.
