5 Weirdest Team Fortress 2 Maps Ever Made

2Fort Twist: one of the weirdest TF2 maps we could find

Community-made content has always been one of the driving forces behind Team Fortress 2, including a wide selection of player-made maps.

Some of these maps are created for the purposes of pure fun. There’s game maps such as the well-known Prop Hunt or Versus Saxton Hale, which utilise already-existing content to provide the player with new and exciting ways to play TF2.

But then there are those maps so different that it’s hard to categorise them properly. Here are five of my favourite “weird and wonderful” TF2 maps, which all have something unique to offer players:

DOGBREAD

A payload map unlike another other, Dogbread is one of the weirdest maps that TF2 has to offer. It’s a single cart PLR map where the bomb is replaced by a Dogbread (which is, as we all know, just a big ol’ loaf of pupper) until…well…the video above should show you all you need to know. Suffice to say, it’s worth all that cart pushing, just for that spectacular ending.

2FORT (WITH A TWIST!)

Everyone knows 2Fort, but this is 2Fort with a twist! Not one for gamers who suffer with motion sickness, 2Fort with a twist is a “corkscrew” type map which will have you falling all over the place as you try to sort out up from down.

SANDVICH(ES)

One of my personal favourite maps, Sandvich (or “Sandviches”, I’ve seen it credited as both) is a King of the Hill style map where you play amongst giant sandviches as you try to capture the control point. Some people have compared it to Ratz Instagib, only with less rodents and more lunchtime snacks.

Turrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrbine

You know Turbine, right, the popular Capture the Flag map? Have you ever thought to yourself “Hey this place is just fine, but I’d love it if it had fifty more turbines than it currently boasts?” Well, we’ve got you covered.

LOLCANO

One for all the meme fans out there, Lolcano is…an experience. It’ll provide a chuckle or two on a rainy afternoon, and the song might get stuck in your head if you play for too long…
