The 2016 Dreamworks animated hit Trolls introduced the beloved, bright-haired creatures to a new generation of fans. With the upcoming release of the third film Trolls Band Together on November 17th, 2023 in the US, audiences enjoy another delirious round of comedy, music, and a very stacked voice cast.
This franchise sees no signs of slowing down anytime soon. However, if you’re a fan of the series who can’t get to the theaters for this entry, you’ll want to find out where to watch Trolls Band Together online. Dreamworks movies can wind up seemingly anywhere, but our best guess for a streaming service is Peacock sometime early next year. This has been the destination for the last few films from the animation powerhouse.
So, while we can make some guesses, there’s a little more to the likely path to digital, streaming and/or physical media for Trolls Band Together that we can keep in mind.
Where to Rent Trolls Band Together Online
While UK audiences, as well as audiences in Mexico and Brazil, already had the chance to see the movie in theaters beginning October 20th, US and Canadian audiences have had to wait a bit longer. The strategy has led to nearly $60 million in box office returns. It also means some fans of Queen Poppy (Anna Kendrick), Branch (Justin Timberlake), and all the rest are going to see the movie closer to the holiday season. What does all that mean for streaming, digital, and physical?
Trolls Band Together isn’t going to be in theaters for too terribly long. The movie should be available to rent or buy digitally by early-to-mid December. Dreamworks may even wait for Christmas, but you will absolutely be able to watch this movie at home by the end of the year at the absolute latest. A physical release seems probable, given that the last two saw Blu-rays. That may also happen in time for Christmas, but it’s also just as possible that it won’t be until early 2024.
Where to Stream Trolls Band Together Online
We’re considering the last few Dreamworks movies with the probability of Trolls Band Together landing on Peacock (subscription prices starting at US $5.99 or £9.99). Dreamworks may choose to go elsewhere, but it seems that they have a good relationship with NBCUniversal. As far as a specific date is concerned, we can’t say for certain, but would guess sometime in February 2024. This is based on Puss in Boots: The Last Wish releasing in theaters in December, before showing up on Peacock in March of this year.
About Trolls Band Together
Reuniting such characters as Queen Poppy, Branch, and all the rest, while introducing faces like Viva (Camila Cabello) and Miss Maxine (RuPaul), Trolls Band Together continues the series’ emphasis on music in its bright, comedic, animated world. We watch Poppy and Branch’s relationship blossom at last, but soon discover that Branch was once part of a boy band. All of this comes to the surface during a kidnapping of one of Branch’s brothers, and it’s up to Branch to reconcile his past and look to the future.
Trolls Band Together certainly promises to keep the music going. Regardless of critical reviews, the movie is likely to enjoy success among fans and those looking for a reliable family hit.
