Watch Eight Minutes of Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet Gameplay

Fatal Bullet

The Sword Art Online series of novels by Reki Kawahara have currently sold an incredible nineteen million copies worldwide, so it’s pretty much a guarantee that the recently announced video game, Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet, will be a hit.

As fans will be aware, the Sword Art Online series takes place in the near future and focuses on players exploring lifelike virtual reality gaming worlds. Fatal Bullet will be set within the world of the sci-fi shooter Gun Gale Online, and will place a much greater focus on shooting and gunplay than previous Sword Art games, which followed the formula of traditional fantasy RPGs. Sword combat and RPG elements will still be present, only to a lesser extent.

Following on from its official announcement, an extended gameplay video of Fatal Bullet has made its way online, and fans will probably be glad to see that the game looks both similar and different to other Sword Art games. Cut to 1:29:00 in the video below for the gameplay footage.
