The team for Syfy’s Van Helsing was in full swing at their San Diego Comic Con panel, showing off a brand new new trailer for season 4 and a sneak peek at the premiere episode.

In attendance were series stars Jonathan Scarfe, Christopher Heyerdahl, Neal McDonough, Jennifer Cheon Garcia, Aleks Paunovic, Keeya King, and Nicole Munoz. Kelly Overton, who stars as the vampire horror’s titular character, called in remotely. Additionally, executive producers and new showrunner Jonathan Walker – who’s replacing Neil LaBute – were in on the fun as well. Notable newcomer Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica) will be playing the dark lord herself, Dracula. That’s right, the classically male big bad of vampires is bringing in some fresh blood.

Van Helsing is a post-apocalyptic series about a reimagining of the classic Dracula story. The great-great-great-grandaughter of Abraham Van Helsing – Vanessa Van Helsing – wakes up from a 3 year coma after an event called The Rising. Vampires have now taken up Beyoncé’s mantle and run the world. As a descendant of a line of vampire hunters, Vanessa is humanity’s last hope against a world where the minions of Dracula are the population majority. Oh, and her blood can reverse the undead process. So, protect her at all costs.

SyFy’s fourth season of their vampire drama will be dropping this fall.
