Undertale Finally Coming To The Xbox One (And Game Pass) Tomorrow

It's been a long time coming.

Xbox players have been waiting in the cold for over five years for the release of Undertale on their platform, but tomorrow, the wait is officially over. Microsoft and Toby Fox have announced that Undertale will be launching the Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S tomorrow, March 16th, and it’ll be available via Xbox Game Pass.

Undertale? On The Xbox? Really?

I know, it’s shocking, but it seems like it’s finally becoming a reality. The entire game will be available, allowing veteran players to experience the game once again, or will let a whole new audience experience the charms and unique gameplay mechanics that Undertale has to offer.

Interestingly, the Xbox blog post regarding the announcement teases some Xbox exclusive features that will be present in the game: “While the Xbox version provides for a largely similar experience, there are a few Xbox-specific enhancements designed to make for a more comfortable time for those playing on a home console. Because of these, progress and save data between the two versions are unfortunately not compatible. But this also means that, similar to previous console releases, the Xbox version features its own little…shrine, one might say…of exclusive content to look out for.”

The blog post doesn’t go into details about what enhancements you should expect when the game launches tomorrow, but it wouldn’t be Undertale without a few secrets to go around. The PS4 and Switch versions of the game have some different content related to certain areas of the game, so it wouldn’t be a stretch to say Xbox will follow the same route. Maybe we’ll see Master Chief drop in for a secret boss fight.
