Try Battlefield 1 Premium For Free This Month

Battlefield 1

If you baulk at paying almost the same amount of money for a season pass as you do the base game, you aren’t the only one. Battlefield 1’s Premium option has divided the fanbase into those who have the DLC and those who do not, which is plenty.

But, starting from this month, Premium Trials will allow non-Premium players to see what all the fuss is about.

Pitched as time-limited events, these Trials will start off with a look at the They Shall Not Pass expansion and its four maps alongside Prise de Tahure and Nivelle Nights. This incentive will rotate for the next two months with more due in August and September.

Paid maps seem to be on their way out with the likes of Overwatch and Titanfall 2 proving that you don’t need a constant stream of post-launch DLC to keep the coffers healthy. Hopefully EA have another look at their system and uniformly cut back on DLC – I bought Premium at launch and drifted away from the game long before any new content came along.
