Treyarch Confirm Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Full Reveal This May

Black Ops 4

Whilst today’s other big announcement of The Division 2 could be regarded as a well-kept secret, the same cannot be said for Black Ops 4. Having been outed via Amazon and, of all things, a baseball cap, Treyarch finally held a livestream today to confirm that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is happening, and will be released on October 12, 2018 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

No gameplay details have been announced as of yet, just the tagline of “Forget What You Know”, along with a video package that combines the first three Black Ops games. Your guess is as good as mine as to what that could mean. We see footage of Alex Mason, Woods shoving Kravchenko through a window, drone strikes, exosuits, zombies and more. Treyarch have confirmed a Community Reveal that’ll take place on May 17th, which should give us more details for both the campaign, the multiplayer and the zombies mode.

Before that video, viewers were “treated” to around five minutes of a couple of dudes welding the Black Ops 4 logo out of a sheet of metal, which the audience obviously loved.

Just kidding, they hated it.

If you want to skip straight to the teaser trailer, skip to around 11:50 on the below video. Be sure to thank me in the comments. Or don’t. I don’t care.

What do you think about this Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 announcement? Do you also think the IIII design looks daft?
