The Devotion resource indicates the overall population’s belief in the fight against Chaos and loyalty to Kislev’s leadership. Here’s how you can earn Devotion to resist the spread of Chaos.
The most lucrative way to earn plentiful devotion is to fight Chaos-aligned factions, including Norsca, Daemons of Chaos, Warriors of Chaos, and the mono-god factions. Simply defeating any Chaos army will net a healthy amount of devotion, and if you are able to round up mamy captives once the Chaos armies rout during battle, sacrificing captives in the post-battle loot screen can net even more Devotion and keep Kislev’s heart in the fight.
For a more long-term method to keep Devotion building over time, Kislev settlements have dedicated religious buildings in both cities and minor settlements that will generate Devotion per turn. It will take a lot of these buildings to ensure a large stable income of Devotion, so this method should be more of a support route to fighting Chaos than a complete substitute.
Finally, for a quick injection of Devotion, players can actively pursue and complete quests. These will typically bring a fair amount of this resource, though not enough to sustain consistent invocations of the Motherland. Everything comes down to fighting Chaos and quests should help augment that objective and not distract.
