Titanfall 2 Free Trial Out Now on EA Access

Titanfall 2

For the last time, play Titanfall 2.

I feel like I may be repeating myself here, but Titanfall 2 is a game everyone should play: it’s one of the freshest first-person shooters I’ve played in some years. I gave it my highest review score this year and submitted its place for the 50 best games of 2016 countdown, so yeah. It’s good.

If the wallet has been unkind to you lately, a free trial of the multiplayer is available to everyone as of tomorrow (Dec 2nd). However, if you’re an EA Access subscriber on Xbox One or are signed up to Origin Access on PC, you can take part in the trial early, i.e. right now.

The trial will come with everything that’s in the base game where multiplayer is concerned, allowing you to unlock weapons, boosts, Titans – the whole deal. You will even be able to play the remastered version of the Angel City map, recently patched into the game. Better yet, once the trial is over, progress is carried over if you pick up the full game.

There’s no early access to the trial for PS4 players – Sony declined bringing EA Access as a service to the console. The trial will be open to everyone starting tomorrow and will finish on December 4th.

Still not convinced by Titanfall 2? Here’s an excerpt from my review:

“At the risk of getting hyperbolic, it’s an incredible experience from the ground up that should be played by anyone who loves a first-person shooter with ambition and heart. It’s on another level to its predecessor and almost all of its rivals.”
