Gaming good guys and all-round beloved developers CD Projekt Red have taken to Twitter to inform fans of an attempt to hold them to ransom.
The demands are being made by a party which has someone gained access to early documents pertaining to Cyberpunk 2077: the upcoming action-RPG, which will be the developer’s first game since The Witcher 3. The hype levels are high for any sliver of information about the game, something which these thieves are eager to capitalise on.
Here’s the thing, though: CD Projekt Red aren’t having any of it. They will not be paying the ransom.

It’s worth mentioning that the damage from this may not be too high. The documents are from the early stages of the game’s development, which may not even reflect the current state of the game.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be coming when it’s ready.
