The Witcher’s 10th Anniversary Video Is A Lovely Thank You To Fans

The Witcher tenth anniversary

It’s not been too long since we said goodbye to Geralt and The Witcher series with Blood and Wine, but it still hurts. While plenty of people’s first introduction to the series might have been the third installment, The Witcher series has actually been going for nigh on ten years.

Ahead of its monumental anniversary, developers CD Projekt Red have put together a heartwarming video to show what Geralt has been up to since the events of the third game. A lot of drinking with friends, basically, but there’s also a little bit of fourth-wall breaking.

Check it out:

Almost everyone is present in the video, which debuted at PAX West. For the first time in YouTube history, the comments section is an outpouring of love and affection for the series and its developers – you are unlikely to find that’s the case for 99% of developers in the industry. CD Projekt Red sure do know how to keep them sweet.

While there are some (awfully wrong) rumours about The Witcher 4, it certainly won’t happen for the foreseeable future. Not only are they busy with Cyberpunk 2077 and Gwent, but it’s hard to imagine where else they could take Geralt from here.

Plus, I got the worst possible ending from The Witcher 3 so I don’t think I am over the trauma enough to even look at a sequel.
