The Walking Dead: The Final Season Episode Release Schedule Announced

The Walking Dead The Final Season

To shut up players who have already completed the first episode of The Walking Dead: The Final Season and immediately want more, Telltale have revealed the full release schedule for the final three episodes. After December 18th, Christmas may well be ruined for a lot of people.

The next episode, Suffer the Children, is due on September 25th. The third episode, Broken Toys, will drop on November 6th. Take Us Back, the last ever episode of Telltale’s The Walking Dead, will arrive on December 18th and close the chapter on the series’ six year history. Bear in mind, however, that these dates are subject to change.

It’s unusual to see Telltale use this tactic. They’ve previously kept release dates under wraps until much closer to when they’re ready. This might be another example of the “new Telltale” with there being considerable changes in The Final Season in terms of gameplay and presentation.

Telltale’s The Walking Dead is adapted from Robert Kirkman’s comic book series and has no connection to the show. It spans four seasons and two spin-offs. The first episode of season 4 is out now, which we reviewed and gave some pretty effusive to based on what we’ve played so far.

“There’s hope for Clementine in The Walking Dead for the first time in a long time, and judging from what’s to come from the rest of the season, there may be a lot of hope for Telltale, too.”
