Most parents would mention if the newest members of the household were demons. The Testament of Sister New Devil follows Basara Toujou, whose introduction to his new stepsisters, Mio and Maria, leaves him caught between supernatural factions with very strong opinions about who he should be protecting. Family dinners were presumably awkward enough already.
The anime debuted in January 2015, with its second season, The Testament of Sister New Devil BURST, following that October. Both adapt Tetsuto Uesu’s light novels, illustrated by Nekosuke Ookuma.

When Is The Testament of Sister New Devil: Season 3 Coming Out?
The Testament of Sister New Devil: Season 3 has no verified release date or production announcement. There’s been pretty much nothing for years now.
The most recent season, The Testament of Sister New Devil BURST, ended on 11 December 2015, following ten television episodes. That means fans have been waiting more than a decade for a full third season.
Some confusion comes from DEPARTURES, the roughly hour-long OVA released in 2018. It is additional animation following the existing seasons, rather than a full third season. The official anime website identifies it as an OVA and carries announcements about its screenings and distribution.
There are also bonus OVA episodes associated with the earlier seasons. If you’ve only watched the television episodes, you may still have something left to watch. Just considerably less than another season.
The long gap doesn’t mean a formal cancellation, but really wouldn’t have too much hope in its return.
What Could The Testament of Sister New Devil: Season 3 Be About?
There is no official Season 3 synopsis, but a continuation could build on Basara’s efforts to protect Mio while navigating the competing interests of heroes and demons, with his own background further complicating those loyalties.
Mio’s inherited power makes her more than a housemate who attracts trouble. It gives other factions a reason to pursue her, leaving Basara to decide how far he’ll go against people who are supposed to be on his side.
That gives a sequel more to explore than another argument over the living arrangements. Though with this household, even deciding who answers the door probably requires a threat assessment.

Both seasons are currently listed on Crunchyroll and the Crunchyroll Amazon Channel in the UK and US. Apple TV Store also offers digital purchases. Check the UK listing or US listing for current options.

Can You Read The Manga While You Wait?
Yes. Seven Seas publishes the manga adaptation in English, with the main adaptation collected into nine volumes. Its Volume 9 listing identifies that book as the conclusion.
The manga is a separate adaptation of the original light novels, so it shouldn’t be approached as a direct replacement for an unmade third season.
It does offer another version of Basara’s increasingly complicated home life. Starting at Volume 1 is the easiest way to follow that version without trying to match every chapter to an episode.
