The Suicide of Rachel Foster review
The Suicide of Rachel Foster

The Suicide of Rachel Foster will be launching on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on August 26th, Daedalic Entertainment and ONE-O-ONE GAMES have announced.

A narrative adventure with mature themes, The Suicide of Rachel Foster sees you investigating the suicide of the titular Rachel in a mysterious hotel.

Here’s the new trailer for its console version:

“The Suicide of Rachel Foster is an intense first person investigation, where melancholy and nostalgia meld into a thrilling ghost tale. This is a truly immersive gameplay experience that has a multilayered narrative, an ending influenced by player choice and binaural audio to keep anyone on the edge of their seats.”

Featuring binaural audio, which will become more and more common as we move into next-gen, The Suicide of Rachel Foster is something of a hidden gem from this year. It has quite a lot of neat tricks up its sleeve.

We were fans of the game at its PC launch, going on to give it an 8.5/10. An excerpt from our review:

The Suicide of Rachel Foster walks the fine line between adventure and a thriller-supernatural horror. It’s not perfect, but it is certainly up there with the best in the genre.

The Suicide of Rachel Foster will cost £15.99/€19.99/AU$24.95 on PS4 and £16.99/€19.99/AU$26.95 on Xbox One.
