Superman Concept Art Appears On Ex-Warner Bros Montreal Artist’s Portfolio

Hopefully, it's better than Superman 64.

Artwork has emerged on the portfolio of an ex-Warner Bros. employee that appears to depict a brand new Superman game. The artist in question, Joel Dos Reis Viegas, has a portfolio on Feerik Art (which was spotted by the Twitter user @Tatlinsky) that’s predominantly filled with Arkham Origins and Arkham Knight pieces, but one piece in particular features the iconic Man of Steel.

While this is clearly a Superman piece of art, unless Batman felt like playing dress-up, it’s not clear if the Caped Crusader is flying around Metropolis or Gotham. Considering it’s a night-time piece that doesn’t include The Daily Planet as part of the city’s skyline, it’s possible this piece depicts Gotham. This would also explain why the art is in a folder filled with other Batman artwork.

We don’t know yet if this is for an upcoming game or a cancelled project. Once upon a time, there were rumours of a Superman game linked to former Arkham developers Rocksteady, named World’s Finest, but that was allegedly meant to be revealed during E3 2018. In the meantime, WB Montreal are teasing a new Batman game that’ll feature the villainous Court of Owls in some capacity. Fingers crossed we’ll hear more soon.
