Suicide Squad Soundtrack Debuts at Number One

Not only is the film doing great business at the box office ($465,374,728 worldwide, in your face Rotten Tomatoes!), but Suicide Squad’s soundtrack has also been a huge hit.

It’s debuted at number one of the sales charts, earning 182,000 equivalent album units, 128,000 of which were traditional album sales, making it the first theatrical soundtrack to hit the Billboard 200 chart this year, and the bestselling album of the week of its release on August 5th. It’s also the biggest sales debut for a soundtrack album since Fifty Shades of Grey back in February 2015.

The Suicide Squad soundtrack was published by WaterTower Music/Atlantic Records and features songs from big-name singers including Lil Wayne, Skrillex, Rick Ross, Eminem, Skylar Grey and Twenty One Pilots.
