Sucker Punch Announce Free Multiplayer Update To Ghost Of Tsushima

It's called Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, and it comes later this year.

Ghost of Tsushima Legends

If you’ve already made it through the story of Ghost of Tsushima and you’re looking for reasons to keep hold of the game, Sucker Punch have you covered, as today they’ve announced Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, a free co-op multiplayer update that’s launching later this year. Check out the announcement trailer below.

More details about the update were revealed in a PlayStation Blog post from Darren Bridges, Sucker Punch’s Senior Game Designer. Legends will see two to four players join together to take on a variety of missions that much more of a mythological spin to the world of Tsushima than the main game. Players can choose from one of four classes, the Samurai, Hunter, Ronin, or Assassin, with each possessing their own traits and abilities.

Two players together will tackle the story missions, while up to four players will face the wave-based survival mode that includes the supernatural Oni enemies. If you can deal with all that, there’s also a 4-player Raid that’ll be launching not long after the update’s release, that’ll see players travelling to a different realm to face off against a terrifying new enemy.

Sucker Punch will share more details about Legends on the run up to the update’s launch, including classes, customisation and more. Honestly, it’s a bold update for what was a single-player, open-world adventure, and one that’ll entice new players to pick the game, and veteran players to keep the game.
