Street Fighter: The Miniatures Game Punches Through Its Kickstarter Goal

Given the huge popularity of the Street Fighter franchise, it comes as no surprise to learn that Street Fighter: The Miniatures Game hit its Kickstarter goal of £283,772 in less than twenty-four hours after going live. The current amount raised for the campaign stands at £535,426, and there are still several weeks left to contribute.

Street Fighter: The Miniatures Game will be published by Jasco Games, and was designed by popular YouTuber Angry Joe, whose channel has just under three million subscribers. As you can probably tell by its name, the game features stunning collectible figures of some of the most popular characters in the franchise, including Ryu, Chun-Li, and Ken. Each of the figures was individually approved by Capcom, so if you’re a Street Fighter fan, rest assured that you’re in for the real deal.

Gameplay options will include Versus Mode, Boss Mode, and Free For All, with a total of six players being able to participate. Aside from the figures, other items included in the game will include character cards, 3D terrain models, and stylized dice.

It’s also worth noting that Street Fighter: The Miniatures Game will not be available at retail, so your only chance to get a hold of a copy is to back the campaign. In other words, if you want to add this to your board game collection, don’t take too long to visit the Kickstarter page. And needless to say, most fans will probably much rather play this than Street Fighter V.
