Starfield: Where To Find Caesium

CAESIUM
CAESIUM

Caesium (or Cs) is an exotic tier 3 resource that you’ll need at some point during your travels across Starfield’s 1000 planets. You can use Caesium in a variety of crafting recipes to further strengthen your character, such as the Stealth Lasers Muzzle Mod for you sneaky players.

Caesium is difficult to come by, and when you find you need it the most, the resource just seems to disappear off the face of the planet. You have a chance to loot it from crates and corpses, but this chance is RNG-focused, so it’s not a reliable method.

Instead, you’ll want to scan planets and moons that house this resource. A few locations you can head to early are:

  • Dalvik (Narion System)
  • Tau Ceti VIII-c (Tau Ceti System)
  • Porrima II (Porrima System)
  • Porrima V-a (Porrima System)
  • Charybdis III (Charybdis System)

To find this inorganic resource, you’ll want to use your hand scanner while on the planet’s or moon’s surface in search of a Caesium seep. As the resource is a gas, you cannot mine it with your Cutter. Instead, you must walk over to the seep and interact with it to collect the Caesium.

As this is an exotic resource, you may want to invest in an outpost to extract additional resources. Building an outpost near the resource’s location will allow you to place the required extractor over it and passively generate Caesium.

This is a good farming method because not only will you be resource-rich, but you can sell any excess for decent profits at most vendors you come across.

Speaking of vendors, you can also purchase Caesium for a short-term solution. Especially handy if you’re stuck on a crafting recipe just waiting for a couple of Caesium. A few easy-to-reach vendors that you can encounter early in your playthrough are:

  • Jemison Mercantile (New Atlantis Spaceport)
  • UC Distribution Center (New Atlantis Commercial District)
  • Midtown Minerals (Akila City)
  • Mining League (Neon)
