Hypercatalyst is an exotic tier 3 resource that can be difficult to find in the vast universe of Starfield. You’ll need this resource for various crafting recipes, but as it can be hard to come by, you’ll unlikely have it on you when you need it. This guide has a few solutions that will get you the resource you need in no time.
The first method to acquire the organic material is to travel to the planets and moons that have this resource.
- Zoomti (Narion System)
- Sumati (Narion System)
To obtain the resource, you’ll need to either harvest it from plants or local fauna found throughout the surface of the location. If you pull out your hand scanner and place the recital over the fauna or flora, it’ll tell you what resources they have. Interacting with the plants that have the Hypercatalyst will give it to you hassle-free, while the local wildlife will need to be hunted to give you the required resource.
Finding the Hypercatalyst this way is a little reliant on RNG, but the drop rate for them seems quite high when you’ve found the right plant to pick and creature to slay.
Additionally, you can find the Hypercatalyst in the inventory of various vendors across the settled systems. Here are a few easy-to-get-to vendors you can find early in your playthrough:
- Jemison Mercantile (New Atlantis Spaceport)
- UC Distribution Center (New Atlantis Commercial District)
- Denis Averin (Cydonia/Mars)
You can always find the resource while out on your travels. Drops from loot crates and corpses or finding it on a shelf somewhere are all possible, though RNG plays a significant role. As it’s an exotic resource, you won’t find it as often as you’d like, so this isn’t a reliable method.
