Star Wars: Squadrons Coming To PC, PS4 & Xbox One This October

Coming to Steam, Origin and Epic Games Store to boot.

EA have announced that Star Wars: Squadrons, the latest flight combat game set in the Star Wars universe, will be launching on PC (via Steam, Origin and the Epic Games Store), PS4 and Xbox One on October 2nd, and will support full cross-play across all platforms. Details about the game were revealed ahead of time thanks to a leaked press release which was reported on by DSOG, which stated that Squadrons will be a first-person space dogfighter set after the events of Return of the Jedi. It’s being developed by Motive Studios, and will include both single player and multiplayer modes. There’s also VR support for PC and PSVR players at launch, which should enhance the experience for anyone with a lot of money.

According to the website, a brand new trailer for Star Wars: Squadrons is set to be unveiled to be unveiled during EA Play, which is scheduled for this Thursday, June 18th, so we’ll see more details then. The website also states that you’ll be able to “compete in intense 5v5 dogfights, unite with your squadron to tip the scales in monumental fleet battles” and also engage in a single player story campaign.
