Electronic Arts have announced that Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has received the honour of becoming the fastest-selling digital launch of any Star Wars game in history, beating the likes of Star Wars: Battlefront 2.

EA have also revealed that Fallen Order is their top-selling Star Wars title on PC during its initial launch window, which is incredible news for Respawn Entertainment. The game has also earned the distinction of being the highest rated Star Wars game of the current console generation, so that should tell you how good it is. Or, at least, how much better it is than other Star Wars offerings we’ve had in the past few years.

In Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, you control Cal Kestis, a young Padawan who managed to survive Order 66 and is forced to join fellow survivors in an attempt to push back against the Empire. We reviewed Fallen Order, and had a lot of nice things to say about it:

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order suffers from some annoying pacing issues, but the attention to detail and fundamentally solid gameplay makes it the best Star Wars game in over a decade.
