According to a recent series of leaks, it would appear that Activision are at least experimenting with prototypes based on the iconic Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2. The report comes from noted leaker Sabi, who notes that they’re unsure whether or not they were being remade as full games, or if this was just a test for a future project.

A full scale remake wouldn’t necessarily be out of the question, considering the incredible success of the recent Crash Bandicoot and Spyro remakes, and the classic Tony Hawk’s series is just as popular in the hearts of gamers. That said, if this news is real, this wouldn’t be the first time that Activision attempted a remake of sorts, as Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD was an amalgamation of the first two games, with additional third game DLC thrown in for good measure.
However, Sabi’s leak isn’t the only source pointing to the existence of a new Tony Hawk’s game. The 168th episode of The Nine Club Podcast which aired last month was an interview with skateboarder Lizzie Armanto, where she was asked about her appearance in THPS 5. At around the 2:05:00 mark, she stated “he’s coming out with another one, and I’ll be in that too”, though it’s interesting to note that said comment has been edited out of the podcast after this news went live.
