Square Enix’s Avengers Finally Gets A Proper Trailer, Release Date

We love this 3000.

Avengers

After being announced back in 2017, we finally have our first look at Square Enix’s take on Marvel’s Avengers, with a new trailer debuting at E3 2019 showcasing a mix of cinematics and gameplay. Or, at the very least, in-engine footage that’s supposed to look a lot like gameplay. Check out the debut trailer below.

Marvel’s Avengers tells the story of The Avengers team suffering a huge loss on A-Day, the celebration of The Avengers, with the supposed “death” of Captain America leading to society questioning the superhero team’s place in society. Of course, this is a comic book story, after all, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see the good Captain rock up later on.

Crystal Dynamics is handling the development of Marvel’s Avengers, and they promise four player online c0-op, along with an evolving narrative that will add new heroes and regions to the game for free. Avengers will be releasing in May 2020 for PS4, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia, and you can pre-order now for beta access.
