Square Enix Announce Neo: The World Ends With You For Switch & PS4

This is the way the world ends.

Square Enix have announced Neo: The World Ends With You, a sequel to the cult hit RPG The World Ends With You that was originally released for the Nintendo DS back in 2007. More recently, TWEWY: Final Remix was released for the Nintendo Switch, which offered enhancements over the original version. Check out the debut trailer at the top of the page.

What Is “The World Ends With You”?

It’s an RPG series that sees players take on a variety of demons in a distorted version of Japan’s Shibuya district as they take on the sinister Reaper’s Game. As mentioned, the original game launched on the Nintendo DS and featured touch-based controls, while the Switch port offers altered controls to make use of the console’s Joy-Con capabilities.

Not much in the way of details have been revealed about the new, save for the new trailer which features brand new characters and a taste of the game’s soundtrack. Either way, Neo: The World Ends With You will be launching on PS4 and the Nintendo Switch, along with PS5 via backwards compatibility, during Summer 2021.
