Spiritfarer Makes Arrangements for Final Update

The metaphysical management sim will add its final new passengers in today’s update.

Spiritfarer Farewell

Spiritfarer, last year’s hit management sim about ferrying lost souls, is gearing up for its final major content update today.

Nicolas Guérin, Creative Director at Thunder Lotus, said the following in a blog post announcing the final edition:
“Yes, it’s the end of a long journey for Team Spiritfarer. Today, since we’re closing the book on the game for the foreseeable future, we’re adding the “Farewell Edition” subtitle to Spiritfarer. It’s a victory lap of sorts for a game near and dear to us, one that we never dreamed would be embraced by one-million players and counting. I’d like to take this opportunity to tell you a little more about how we got here.”

The ‘Farewell Edition’ of Spiritfarer, including all three content updates and all existing DLC. The final new element, the Jackie and Daria update, adds two new passengers named, as one might guess, Jackie and Daria,, a hyena and a bat, respectively.

The final update also adds a new island and a dilapidated hospital for players to restore, which directly connects the player with their two new companions.

In addition, new platforming challenges and ship upgrades have also been added to give players more to chew on in this final helping of new content for Spiritfarer.

Spiritfarer has recently sold over 1 million units according to developer Thunder Lotus.

Spiritfarer is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, Playstation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Game Pass, and Stadia.
