A scene in the 2010 film Iron Man 2 depicts Robert Downey Jr.’s titular superhero rescuing a young boy wearing a toy Iron Man mask from a murderous robot. In an interview with Huffington Post, current Spider-Man actor Tom Holland confirmed that the kid was actually a young Peter Parker, saying:

“It is Peter Parker… I can confirm that, that is Peter Parker… I can confirm that as of today. I literally had a conversation with Kevin Feige only 20 minutes ago. Maybe I’ve just done a big, old spoiler, but it’s out there now… I like the idea that Peter Parker has been in the universe since the beginning.”
