Sony Killing Off PS4’s Kill Strain After Less Than A Year

Kill Strain

A game that appeared out of nowhere and disappeared just as quickly, Kill Strain never really set the world alight. It felt like it was trying to emulate plenty of its peers without a simple ingredient: fun. A shame, as it’s premise was interesting enough.

I am speaking in past tense as, for all intents and purposes, Kill Strain is dead, or at least on the chopping block. Sony will be shutting down its servers on July 1st, rendering it almost unplayable.

The free-to-play game from SIE San Diego Studio is just one of a few nearing the end of its life, according to a Sony themselves. They posted a Decommissioned Servers update to toll the bell for the following:

PS3
High Velocity Bowling
Medieval Moves: Deadmund’s Quest
Sports Champions
Sports Champions 2

PS Vita

ModNation Racers: Road Trip

PS4
Kill Strain
