Following the overwhelmingly negative response to its initial reveal and the subsequent delay, Paramount have released the first official trailer for the remixed Sonic The Hedgehog movie.

The design of Sonic himself is a considerable overhaul with his eyes now being closer to his video game counterpart and the blue fur looking far more natural. They say the eyes are a window to the soul, and now this Sonic actually has a soul.
The trailer overall is much better with more suitable track choices and a very agreeable extra emphasis on Carrey as Dr. Robotnik. Sure, it will likely still not be a very good movie at all, but so far it’s shaping up to be some disposable fun, and that’s all we ask from a video game movie.
Sonic The Hedgehog releases February 14th, 2020. Will you be catching it on Valentine’s Day, historically the most romantic day of the year to watch an animated hedgehog in a risque towel?
