Shane McMahon Reveals Team Smackdown’s 5th Member For Survivor Series 2017

Shane McMahon 2017

Shane McMahon has just revealed on Twitter the identity of Team Smackdowns 5th member, which is none other than John Cena.

This may come as a shock to many who expected either AJ Styles or Rusev to be the final member, ahead of the Red vs Blue brand 5 vs 5 battle at the PPV, not to mention that Cena was rumoured to be a special guest referee in the match involving Universal Champ Brock Lesnar.

Team Raw

Kurt Angle
Samoa Joe
Finn Balor
Braun Strowman
Jason Jordan

Team Smackdown
Shane McMahon
Shinsuke Nakamura
Randy Orton
Bobby Roode
John Cena

On paper, both teams seem pretty evenly matched, but rumours indicate that Roman Reigns, should he be healthy enough to return by the time of the PPV, will be replacing Jason Jordan.

If not, other whisperings are suggesting The Shield could be set to face The New Day, after the trio cost Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins the Raw Tag Team Championships at a recent Raw show in Manchester England.

Right now, one would likely assume Team Raw will end up victorious, as Kurt Angle has been threatened with losing his spot of GM should Raw lose.

Not to mention that both Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are not on the card and could well cost the Blue Brand the match, due to their ongoing feud with Shane McMahon.
