RAW News: Seth Rollins & Braun Strowman Win Tag Team Championships

Sethy two-belts.

In the main event of Monday Night Raw, Seth Rollins teamed with an unlikely partner in Braun Strowman to face-off with The OC in a Raw Tag Title match. After failing to defeat AJ Styles earlier on in the night, Strowman was still able to walk away with gold as the duo overcame the numbers game, pinning Anderson after a thunderous powerslam from ‘The Monster Among Men’.

This marks Braun’s second time with the Raw Tag Title, hopefully this run will be slightly more memorable than his overnight reign with Nicholas. Rollins, now a dual-champion, captures his third Raw Tag Title with his third unique partner. Kind of sucks for The OC, who had literally just started to regain some credibility as a top tag team on the red brand, but hey we have to find a reason for Rollins and Strowman to eventually feud for their rumoured title match at Clash of Champions.

In other RAW news, Cedric Alexander and Samoa Joe advanced in the KOTR tournament, and ‘The Fiend’ made his presence felt after adding Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler to his list of legends that have fallen to the Mandible Claw. A pretty big night for WWE, let’s see if SmackDown can follow suit.
