‘Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse’ Looks Like Dumb Fun

Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse

Just when Volcano Zombies had put the absolutely final nail in the undead coffin, the guys behind Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse prised it open and farted directly in my face before running off and giggling like a little schoolgirl.

After its trailer reveal yesterday, I was initially hesitant to approach it with anything but cynicism. Haven’t we already had enough of “Random Group of Individuals vs Zombies” by now? Seriously, go and Google “vs Zombies” and you will see what I mean; this is probably what led the creators to change its name from Scouts vs Zombies.

However, after gently removing the stick from my arse, it looks like this could actually just be a riot. It isn’t going to win any awards, but its mix of stoner humour and slapstick seems as if it could be a winning formula.

What it’s all about: “Three scouts and lifelong friends join forces with one badass cocktail waitress to become the world’s most unlikely team of heroes. When their peaceful town is ravaged by a zombie invasion, they’ll fight for the badge of a lifetime and put their scouting skills to the test to save mankind from the undead.”

Directed by Christopher Landon and featuring more cameos than you can shake an undead stripper booty at, Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse drops on October 30th and will be available on VOD shortly afterwards.
