When Does The Rust Console Beta End?

Here's when you have to go back to the real world.

Ahead of its launch sometime this summer, Rust is currently in the middle of a console beta to give PlayStation and Xbox players an early look at the game. But when does the Rust beta end?

After starting in late February, the Rust console beta will go on until April 12th, 2021 at 3pm BST, meaning it will last for roughly a month in total. As Rust is intended to be a game that’s like living a second life or job, the beta needs to be this long to properly replicate that.

If you need a beta key, you need to have been signed up to the newsletter before the keys started getting sent out, otherwise there is little chance you will receive one, unless you pre-order the game and wait for a subsequent beta. Double Eleven are sending them out in batches so they can scale their servers with demand.

No progress will carry over from the beta in terms of blueprints. The beta will also be in downtime “every Tuesday, 10.00am (UTC) for necessary maintenance” while Double Eleven patches.

Just in case you aren’t familiar with Rust, it’s a sandbox survival game with heavy PVP elements in which players either co-operate or fight to claim all of the loot. Whether raiding, building a manor, or playing Russian roulette with pickles, there’s a lot more to Rust than may meet the eye.

Rust is available now on PC.
