If you were hoping for more info on Rockstar’s upcoming western at E3 then don’t hold your breath, partner. Rockstar have today announced that the hotly anticipated sequel to Red Dead Redemption has been pushed back from the tentatively announced Fall 2017 to Spring 2018.

While this may come as bad news, Rockstar issued a full statement on their website reassuring fans that this delay is because they are committed to providing a finished product upon release rather than patching in a sizeable day 1 update, which is par for the course these days.

“We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready. We are really excited to bring you more details about the game this summer.”

It’s not all gloom and doom though as Rockstar have also released some gorgeous looking screenshots to whet our appetite until more details are revealed this Summer.
