If the announcement of Like A Dragon: Ishin! wasn’t enough samurai content for you, Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja have you covered, as during tonight’s State of Play, they revealed Rise of the Ronin, a PS5 console exclusive set to launch in 2024. Check out the debut trailer above.
Not much in the way of details have been confirmed about the game, save for the official blurb on the YouTube description, which promises an “immersive combat focused action experience” as you step into the shoes of a Ronin. The PlayStation Blog post about the game also confirms that Rise of the Ronin is set during the end of the Edo period, as you’ll explore an evolving world, learn some cool moves and “forge a new era for Japan”. Sounds good to us.
