Rhyno made his triumphant return to Impact Wrestling at last night’s Slammiversary pay-per-view event. The former WWE and ECW star has been missing from the wrestling world since announcing that he’ll be stepping away from in-ring competition with WWE earlier this year.

The former ECW Champ made his presence felt after the championship headliner between Brian Cage and Michael Elgin. A masked Rhyno appeared from the crowd and nailed Elgin with a Gore and then exited post-haste. With his intentions left unclear, fans of the OG extremist will have to start tuning back in to Impact Wrestling in the coming weeks.

Details regarding his contract status are currently unknown, but with Rhyno’s storied history with TNA Wrestling, it’s hard to imagine why he wouldn’t want to stick around and help re-establish the brand as a top contender.

This instance of Slammiversay will go down in history for not only Rhyno’s dramatic comeback, but also the first ever inter-gender main event for Impact Wrestling. Sami Callihan stepped into the ring with Tessa Blanchard, putting on a brutal contest to close the show.

These are some good steps in the right direction for the revived promotion, Impact is slowly re-entering the conversation amongst wrestling fans. Has Rhyno’s return piqued your interest? Let us know in the comments below.
