The W-870 is a shotgun in Resident Evil 4 Remake that can really help you out in a pinch in the early chapters of the game, and it’s also very easy to find.
The W-870 Shotgun can be found as early as Chapter 1 in this house in the Village Square.
Simply walk in the house, then up the stairs and find the W-870 hanging on the wall. You may also be able to find a Grenade in the glass cabinet next to it, as well as some ammo behind it on a bed. There’s an easy exit to the roof in the window to the right of the W-870 too, which will come in handy if you’re fending off the ganado early on.
As mentioned, the W-870 is a good weapon for the early stages of Resident Evil 4 for crowd control but really lacks the power required for the later sections. You can, however, upgrade it at the Merchant to deal more damage (up to 10.1 damage, in fact) reload faster, and so on. It takes Shotgun Ammo, which can also be crafted fairly easily with Resources (S) and 11x Gunpowder.
