Report: Xbox Series X Ports Potentially Revealed

Learning what you can put in the Xbox Series X.

Xbox Series X

The back ports of the Xbox Series X have potentially been revealed according to a new report from Thurrott. This news comes off the back of AMD showcasing what they declared to be the back of the Xbox Series X during a keynote at CES, before admitting that they actually purchased a 3D model from Turbo Squid.

Because of this, Thurrott decided to ask people in the know what the back of the Xbox Series X actually looks like. According to their report, the console will include two SuperSpeed USB-A ports, an ethernet port, just the one HDMI port, optical audio and a small power connection, suggesting an internal power supply of some kind.

Having just the one HDMI port is an interesting choice as well. VG24/7 notes that it supports Phil Spencer’s comments about Xbox’s lack of plans for VR support, though it also means that you won’t be able to plug your Nintendo Switch into the back of your Xbox Series X to play online Mario Kart with your friends while using the Xbox party chat system. Enjoy that lifehack while you still can.
