Rising star Remy Hii has been cast in the upcoming Marvel Spider-Man sequel, Spider-Man: Far From Home. The actor, of Chinese, Malaysian and English nationality, is currently a regular in the Australian series Harrow, however he is perhaps best known for his role in Warner Bros’s Crazy Rich Asians releasing this Wednesday, and Netflix’s Marco Polo. Hii’s role is undisclosed as of right now which potentially means he’ll be playing a role of fair importance that could be a big surprise for fans later down the road.

Jon Watts will return to direct the highly anticipated sequel with Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers writing the screenplay. Principal photography for the 23rd Marvel Cinematic Universe film began on July 2nd in England and is expected to conclude in December 2018. The film, which focuses on Peter Parker taking a summer vacation around Europe, will incidentally be the first time Parker will be outside of his native location, New York City.

Far From Home will feature returning stars Tom Holland, Michael Keeton, Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman, Marisa Tomei alongside a few others, and Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders will be making appearances as Nick Fury and Maria Hill respectively. The most interesting casting for the film however goes to Jake Gyllenhaal, who will be playing the popular villain, Mysterio.
