These backwards compatibility announcements from today’s Inside Xbox episode have been nothing short of astounding. The 19 additions to the Original Xbox line-up are one thing, but for Xbox One X owners, here’s a little extra for you.
It was announced that six games would be getting Xbox One X enhancements, meaning they’ll be looking shinier and better on Microsoft’s premier box of fun. The full list of games includes Red Dead Redemption, Sonic Generations, Darksiders, Portal 2, Gears of War 2 and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Oh, by the way, Sonic Generations is also backwards compatible. Surprise!
Like the original Xbox titles, there’s a wide range of games here that should satisfy all gaming tastes. If you’re looking to replay Red Dead Redemption before the sequel comes out later this year, now seems like a great time. We’re just happy that Sonic Generations is back to wipe away the awful taste that is Sonic Forces. What an awful game.
