Red Dead Redemption 2 Joining Xbox Game Pass, GTA V Leaving

Giddy-up.

Red Dead Redemption 2

Rockstar and Microsoft have decided to pull the old switcheroo, as they’ve announced that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be joining Xbox Game Pass for Console on May 7th. Unfortunately, that means we’ll be saying goodbye to Grand Theft Auto V on the same day.

A prequel to one of Rockstar’s most beloved games, RDR 2 puts players in the well-worn shoes of Arthur Morgan as he and the rest of the Van der Linde gang try to survive in a Wild West that’s slowly become less Wild. Currently, Red Dead Redemption 2 includes a fully-fledged photo mode and a vastly improved Red Dead Online.

Of course, this addition comes at the cost of GTA V, which according to the official Xbox.com blog, will be leaving on May 7th. If you’re not finished playing GTA V on the Xbox just yet, you can take advantage of the 20% discount that comes with it still being in Game Pass. Will you be playing Red Dead Redemption 2 when it joins Game Pass next month? Sound off in the comments.
