It’s been a trying time for Red Dead Online fans of late, who recently started dressing up as clowns to bring to light just how few updates the game has received over the last few months. That wait is nearly over with the announcement of a New Frontier Pursuit coming to Red Dead Online on July 28th.
On top of the new Frontier Pursuit, which will “introduce players to the secrets of naturalism as part of an all-new Role”, RDO fans will also be able to check out a new Outlaw Pass as well as a tonne of new features and bug fixes. Rockstar also mentioned that more will be arriving in the coming months, but nothing has been confirmed just yet.
They did state, however, that an existing role will also be getting tweaks in Red Dead Online, and that there will also be extensions to some roles.
This must come as a bit of a relief to RDO fans, who haven’t actually had a significant update since December 2019. Something Very Bad has happened to the world since then, so you kind of understand Rockstar maybe not being quite as quick off the mark with adding new content as usual.
Red Dead Online is the multiplayer component of Red Dead Redemption 2, which is available now for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Stadia.
