Rainbow Six: Siege Free On All Platforms This Weekend

Rainbow Six Siege

If the idea of sailing the seven seas once again isn’t for you, consider this one. Rainbow Six: Siege is holding a free play event for PS4, Xbox One and PC which will run from today until February 20th depending on what platform you want (18th for PC, 19th for Xbox One and 20th for PS4).

As is tradition with all free play events, progress made during the event will carry over to the full game once you make the upgrade. Luckily enough, the game is currently 30% off digitally across all platforms, though you’re more likely to find the base game cheaper if you shop around.

Hopping aboard the Siege hype train now will be well timed, as Season 1 of Year 3 is almost upon us, starting off with Operation Chimera. The first season will introduce two new operators and an exclusive co-op event called Outbreak, which will pit teams of three against alien parasites and weird monsters. A bit of a departure from the usual Siege formula, but one that could be a surprise hit.

This free play event is happening in conjunction with the Six Invitational Tournament, which has been taking place over past few days. The finals are scheduled for February 16th-18th, and Ubisoft that they’ll be announcing more details about the Outbreak event during the finals.
