The 24/7 Championship has been building quite the lineage since being introduced a fortnight ago by Mick Foley. R-Truth has defended valiantly, but his luck ran out momentarily this past weekend, as he lost the title to an attacking Jinder Mahal.
‘The Modern Day Maharaja’ managed to roll up R-Truth whilst the champ was out enjoying a game of golf. Jinder, with a referee in tow, appeared in full ring-gear and picked up the shock win, only to then lose the championship a few seconds later.
Ever the wiley veteran, R-Truth took advantage of a celebrating Mahal, and rolled him up for a three count of his own to reclaim the 24/7 title. R-Truth is now the first ever three time 24/7 champion, but if this past weekend has proven anything, it’s that there’s nowhere for the title holder to hide. Maybe next time Jinder!
