Pyra/Mythra Coming To Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Today

Time for another Xenoblade rep, I guess.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Nintendo have announced that Pyra/Mythra, the dual character from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and the next DLC character for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, will be coming to the game later today. The release date was announced via a character overview stream, which talked about the gameplay mechanics, stage and more. You can check it out at the top of the page.

What’s Going On With Pyra/Mythra?

Coming from Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Pyra is a living weapon for the main character Rex, while Mythra is revealed to be a second personality sealed within Pyra. In Smash Bros., this translates to the player being able to switch between both fighters during the match. Pyra is a strong character that deals big damage, while Mythra’s real advantage comes in her speed.

Pyra/Mythra is the ninth character pack for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and includes the new character, a new stage and a bunch of music. Challenger Pack 9 can be picked up separately for a couple of dollars, but you can also pick up the Fighters Pass Vol. 2 for $29.99 which includes Min-Min from ARMS, Steve/Alex from Minecraft, Final Fantasy 7’s Sephiroth and two other characters.
