Pokémon Legends: Arceus Coming To Nintendo Switch In 2022

Will happily take Pokémon: Samurai Edition.

Pokémon Legends

In perhaps the most interesting Pokémon announcement in a long time, The Pokémon Company has revealed Pokémon Legends: Arceus, a brand new action-RPG that will take the series into the Sinnoh region’s past, as you attempt to put together the area’s first Pokédex. Check out the debut trailer at the top of the page.

What Makes Pokémon Legends: Arceus Look So Interesting?

The gameplay for Pokémon Legends: Arceus looks like an extension of Sword and Shield’s Wild Area gameplay, with players exploring a huge map filled with Pokémon, only now players can hide the bushes, throw Poké Balls that look ancient in comparison to more modern equivalents, and even dodge roll. The feudal Sinnoh area also looks fantastic, and it’ll be intriguing to explore a Pokémon world before modern technology takes over.

There’s still your traditional battles, where you pick moves from a menu, but gameplay seems a bit more seamless from what the trailers show. It does seem like there could be framerate issues, if the trailer is anything to go by, but given that it’s not launching for another year, there’s time to iron out any issues.
