PWG Battle of Los Angeles 2018 Crowns Winner

PWG

Outside of the WWE Hell in a (red) Cell bubble, another big wrestling show was going down. And that happened to be PWG’s Battle of Los Angeles tournament, one of the biggest wrestling tournaments on the independent calender.

The gruelling three day tournament was eventually won by Jeff Cobb, who bested Shingo Takagai and Bandido in the three-way elimination main event, to secure the coveted BOLA trophy and a future PWG Championship opportunity. The title is currently held by Walter.

Names competing in this year’s tournament included Walter, Timothy Thatcher and Ilja Dragunov, who many in attendance say put on a brutal match of the year contender against eventual finalist Shingo Takagi on Night Two.

Also included was Marko Stunt, a late replacement for injured UK star Chris Brookes, who has quickly risen to prominence in the wrestling after debuting at Joey Janela’s ‘Lost in New York’ show a few months ago followed by an appearance in the Battle Royale at ALL IN. Stunt faced Impact star Trevor Lee, replacing the NXT bound Matt Riddle, on Night One.

Riddle is set to make his final indie appearance for Progress Wrestling on September 30th at Wembley Arena in London when he faces Mark Haskins.
