PSA: Amazon Are Delaying Orders Of Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite

Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite

In the latest of what can only be described as the ongoing media/PR shitshow that is Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite, Amazon are delaying certain orders of the game until as late as October.

This news applies to those consumers who bought into a “deal” that Amazon were running that allowed you to pre-order the game for as little as £35. Not bad for a new game, but those things that seem too good to be true usually are.

Players have taken to Twitter to express their own outrage at this news, myself included, with some speculating that Amazon simply weren’t provided with enough stock to meet the level of demand that this so-called deal provoked.

However, upon closer inspection, the listing for Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite appears to be very suspect, with Xbox One showing up as PS4 and vice versa. The release date even points to a placeholder 2030 launch. Potentially, this was a fake listing to begin with, though the question then becomes “why is a fake listing still sitting on the site, accepting pre-orders?” In any event, keep an eye on your bank details; you can’t be too sure.
